District Police Annual Sports Meet: DAR bags Overall Championship

The District Armed Reserve (DAR) Police bagged the ‘Overall Championship’ in the District Police Annual Sports Meet held at DAR Grounds in Jyothinagar here recently.

The DAR bagged the top prize winning 91 points and also won the ‘Best Sports Team’ award.

DAR Police Constable Raghunandan, who excelled in 100 mts, 400 mts, 800 mts Running Race, High-Jump and Long-Jump, won the ‘Best Sportsperson – Male’ prize with 25 points, while Suma, a Constable attached to Varuna Police Station, who excelled in Shot-put, Discus-Throw and Javelin-Throw, won ‘Best Sportsperson – Female’ prize with 15 points.
