N.R. Agnish of Basudeva Somani PU College won the U-20 Boys 200m gold with a timing of 22.15s and V. Ambika of Maharanis’ Science & Commerce Women’s College hurled the shot-put to a distance of 12.92m in the U-20 Girls section on the inaugural day of the two-day Mysore District Athletic Association’s (MDAA) District-level Athletic Meet-2019 held at Chamundi Vihar Stadium here yesterday.

U-20 — 200m: N.R. Agnish (Basudeva Somani PU College, 22.15s), 1500m: R. Santhosh Kumar (Pride Athletic Club, 4:31.00s); Long-Jump: R.P. Prasanth (Yuvaraja’s College, 6.26m); Javelin-Throw: G. Abhishek (Parivarthana PU College, 37.18m); High-Jump: Varun S. Vernekar (1.80m).

U-18 — 200m: S. Deepak Jadav (Rise & Shine Athletic Club, 23.1s); 1500m: D. Damodara (Pride Athletic Club, 4:23.90s); Long-Jump: U.K. Skandan (Mahajana PU College, 5.92m); High-Jump: G. Komal (Jnanodhaya PU College, 1.62m).

U-16 — 1000m: Rahul Nayaka (Ideal Jawa School, 2:35.37s); Shot-Put: B.M. Mourya Ganapathi (Bhagya Jyothi School, 16.83m); Long-Jump: Milan Nanjappa (Police Public School, 5.47m).

U-14 — 600m: C. Nikhil (Unique Athletic Club, 1:34.00s); Shot-Put: Nesar Kumar (Sri Kaveri School, 10.37m).

U-20 — 200m: R. Harshini (25.2s); 1500m: S.L. Sahana (DYES, 5:26.4s); Javelin-Throw: Pooja (Teresian PU, 26.69m); Shot-Put: V. Ambika (Maharani’s Science & Commerce Women’s College, 12.92m); Long-Jump: N. Soumya (4.82m).

U-18 — 200m: P.K. Neetha (DYES, 0:26.6s); 1500m: Y. Meghana (Vivekananda PU College, 5:32.60s); High-Jump: M.A. Anagha (VVHS, 1.15m); Shot-Put: Shilpa (Vani Vilas Girls College, 9.89m); Long-Jump: R. Trishaa (Manasa Sarovara Pushkarni, 4.82m).

U-16 — 200m: H.S. Harshitha (JSS, 26.85s); 1000m: G. Disha (DYES, 3:19.03s), Long-Jump: Deesha Ganapathy (5.00m); Shot-Put: Brunda S. Gowda (DYES, 11.36m); High-Jump: R. Tejaswini (GHS, Haradanahalli, 1.16m).
