District Transport Department’s crackdown on unauthorised vehicles

Mysore/Mysuru: In the backdrop of complaints received by the Department with respect to illegal transport of passengers by private two-wheelers using unofficial Aggregator Mobile Phone Application (App), the District Transport Department has launched an operation wherein strict action is being taken against those two-wheeler owners  who are carrying passengers using unofficial mobile app.

This was disclosed in a press release by Deputy Transport Commissioner, RTO, Mysuru District Regional Transport Office (West). The RTO Officer has asked the two-wheeler owners to stop illegal use of their vehicles.

The Department has said that some private owners of Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) are renting them out to the public and action is being taken against such vehicles and has advised the public not to give their private vehicles for rent of any kind failing which action will be taken against  such vehicles.
