Doberman pup donated to Police Dog Squad

Mysuru:  Aane Karoti Environment Conservation Foundation has donated a four-month-old Doberman pup to the Mysuru District Dog Squad. The pup, named ‘Bruno,’ was handed over to District Armed Reserve (DAR) Dy.SP Chandrashekar by Foundation Founder M.A. Lakshmikanth Raj Urs at the premises of Mysuru District Dog Squad behind Police Bhavan in city yesterday.

Speaking on the occasion, Lakshmikanth Raj Urs said that if Bruno is trained, he would be helpful in detecting robbery and murder cases.

Mekhala Kagli, wife of Lakshmikanth Raj Urs, Assistant Sub-Inspector Madhu Kumar and staff M.R. Prasanna, Gunapal, Murthy, Manjunath and others were present during the occasion.

Urs had earlier also donated a pup to the Squad, which died of heart attack a few months ago.

Bruno would undergo training for nine months at the City Armed Reserve (CAR) Training School at Adugodi in Bengaluru from Nov.1.
