Mysore/Mysuru: Contending that medical service is akin to godly service, MLC-elect Madhu G. Madegowda said that it is most important to remember the services rendered by doctors and other medical fraternity during COVID pandemic.
He was speaking after inaugurating Doctors’ Day celebrations at Suyog Hospital in Ramakrishnanagar here recently.
Pointing out that this was his first programme after getting elected as an MLC, Madhu Madegowda complimented the Hospital for its medical services to the society.
Suyog Hospital Chairman Dr. S.P. Yoganna, in his address, said that Dr. B.C. Roy, in whose honour July 1 is celebrated as Doctors Day, dedicated his entire life for medical service and societal well-being. He is an ideal model for every doctor of today, Dr. Yoganna added.
Hospital’s Diabetic Centre Secretary Krishna too spoke.
Earlier, floral tributes were offered to the portrait of Dr. Roy.
Dr. Vasudev Pai, Dr. Darshan, Dr. Girish, Dr. Sridhar and Dr. Prakash Babu who have rendered outstanding service in the medical field were felicitated by Ramakrishnanagar Senior Citizens Association on the occasion. Hospital Managing Director Dr. Suyog Yoganna, Director Dr.Rajendra Prasad and others were present.
