Mysore/Mysuru: Doctors’ Day was celebrated at Sigma Hospital in city recently.

S. Gnanashankar, Hospital MD, spoke about the history of Indian medicine and the contributions of Charaka, Sushrutha and Vagbhata. He also paid rich tributes to Dr. B.C. Roy (1 July 1882 – 1 July 1962), in whose memory National Doctors Day is celebrated on July 1.

Hospital Director Dr. Rajeshwari Madappa said that dedication of doctors at Sigma Hospital along with Government-sponsored schemes have made state-of-the-art treatment available to all strata of society at Sigma Hospital.

Dr. Sridevi, Senior Pathologist, acknowledged that the   doctors at Sigma Hospital exercise utmost care at their profession and wished the best to each one of them.

One of the patient attenders, Purushotham from Bannur, expressed his gratitude for the expert care at Sigma Hospital leading to quick diagnosis and recovery of his mother.
