Doctors’ Day celebration at JSS Ayurveda Medical College

Mysore/Mysuru: JSS Ayurveda Medical College celebrated Doctors’ Day in memory of Dr. B.C. Roy recently and to commemorate the contributions of doctors towards healthcare.

Dr. Tapasbrata Tripathy, Professor and Head, Department of PG Studies in Kayachikitsa & Manasa Roga, SDM College of Ayurveda and Hospital, Hassan, was felicitated on the occasion.

Dr. Tripathy spoke on Ayurvedic treatment of skin disorders. He shared his extensive experience in treating various skin disorders using Ayurvedic principles and practices.

Common skin conditions discussed included eczema, psoriasis, acne and allergic dermatitis. Explanations of Ayurvedic remedies, dietary recommendations, lifestyle changes and therapeutic procedures used in Ayurveda to manage and treat skin disorders were shared by the guest speaker.

He concluded by citing examples of successful treatment outcomes using Ayurvedic methods and highlighting its efficacy and benefit.

Dr. B. Gurubasavaraja, former Chief Medical Officer, JSS Ayurveda Hospital, Mysuru, was the guest of honour.

Dr. Sarbeswar Kar, Principal, JSS Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Mysuru, welcomed the gathering. Amala, 4th BAMS student, rendered the invocation. Dr. Poornima Jalawadi, Reader, Department of PG Studies in Shalya Tantra, introduced the guest. Dr. Vidya Narayan, HoD of PG Studies in Prasooti Tantra and Stree Roga, read the citation.

Dr. K. L. Revanna Swarny, Director, I/C Medical Education Division, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysuru, delivered the Presidential address. Dr. Rajesh A. Udapudi, Dean, proposed a vote of thanks. Dr. Noor Fathima, Assistant Professor, was the Master of Ceremony.
