Mysore/Mysuru: ‘Illadiddaru Iddaare-Namma Guru’, a documentary on University of Mysore’s former Geography Professor late P. Jayaramaiah will be released marking his 88th birth anniversary, at a programme organised by Prof. P. Jayaramaiah Abhimaanigala Balaga at Rani Bahadur auditorium in Manasagangothri, Hunsur road at 12 noon tomorrow.
Announcing this at a press meet, Dr. P. Boregowda, a retired bureaucrat, said that the programme will begin with the birth anniversary celebration, following which the documentary will be released and screened.
A commemorative volume on Prof. Jayaramaiah which contains articles by 30 personalities was released earlier, he said adding that now the documentary has been prepared in order to keep his memory alive. The documentary has the script of Prof. N. Rangaswamy and narration of Prof. M. Krishnegowda, he said adding that the documentary is directed by M. Venkatesh.
Former KSOU Vice-Chancellor Dr. N.S. Ramegowda, Bengaluru Urban District Special DC Balachandra, UoM Registrar V.R. Shailaja and Prof. M. Krishnegowda will be the guests of honour.
