Nihal Joel Williams, a student of the De Paul International Residential School, Mysuru, won the gold in the 400 mts run at the 33rd National Junior Athletic Championship held at Vijayawada. He clocked 48.16 seconds. Nihal also won gold in 1,000 meters sprint medley relay clocking 1:55.21 seconds for Karnataka at the same event. The State secretary of Telugu Desham Party Rayapati Ranga Babu and the golden girl P. T. Usha felicitated Nihal.
