Mysuru: Mysore Medical College and  Research Institute (MMC&RI) Dean and Director Dr. B. Krishnamurthy retired from the service on Aug. 31 on attaining superannuation. He served the Institution for 27 years. Following Dr. Krishnamurthy’s retirement, Cheluvamba Hospital Medical Director Dr. S. Radhamani has been appointed as acting Dean of MMC&RI.

Dr. Krishnamurthy began his career in 1986 as a Medical Officer in Gundlupet taluk.

A paediatrician, he was appointed as faculty of MMC&RI (then Mysore Medical College) in1990 and later went on to become Associate Professor and Assistant Professor.

After serving as Medical Director of Cheluvamba Hospital and Children Hospital form 2007 to 2013, he was promoted as Dean & Director of MMC&RI, where he served for nearly four years. He is a resident of Srirampura in city.
