An sustained spell of medium-pace bowling by Vyshak Vijaykumar (6 for 23) helped KSCA President’s XI to bowl out Jharkhand State CA for 141 in 41.5 overs in their first essay and helped their team to take the upper-hand on the first day of the Group ‘D’ League in the Dr. Capt. K. Thimmappiah Memorial Tournament-2019 played at the SDNR Wadiyar Grounds here yesterday.

Dhurv (7 n.o.) and Mir Kaunain Abbas (2 n.o.) were at the crease and an interesting day’s play is in the prospect today.

At JSS-SJCE Grounds, Madhya Pradesh CA were 143 for seven, in 63 overs before rain haled play. Skipper Rajat Patidar batted well to score 84 (158b,16×4). Himanshu Mantri (20) was the other useful contributor. Medium-pacers K.V. Sasikanth (three for 49) and P. Girinath Reddy (three for 60) impressed for Andhra CA.
