Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. H.N. Dinesh, Head, Department of Surgery, MMC&RI (Mysuru Medical College and Research Institute), took over as the acting Dean & Director of MMC&RI, from  outgoing  Dean and Director Dr. C.P. Nanjaraj here yesterday. Dr. Dinesh took over following an order issued by the Secretary of Medical Education Department Naveenraj Singh.

Dr. C.P. Nanjaraj will,  however, continue to serve MMC&RI as the Head of Department of Radiology.

Dr. Dinesh, a native of Channarayapatna in Hassan district, did his MBBS from Bangalore Medical College and M.S. (General  Surgery) Degree from Mysore Medical College. He later did his Fellowship in Surgical Gastroenterology and Liver Transplant  from BMC&RI.

He has served as President of Surgical Society of Mysore, Treasurer of MAA Trust, Executive Committee member of IMA Mysuru Chapter and Executive Committee member of Karnataka State Chapter of Association of Surgeons of India.
