Mysuru: Dr. S. Prasanna Shankar of Mythri Hospital, NS Road, Chamundipuram in city, passed away this morning. He was 74.
He leaves behind his wife Indumathi, two daughters — Dr. Mythri, settled in London and Amulya — sons-in-law, grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. He belongs to the family of Kadlepuri Nanjundappa and Sons, Agrahara.
Last rites will be conducted at Veerashaiva Lingayat Burial Grounds in Vidyaranyapuram here at 11 am tomorrow.
Dr. Prasanna Shankar, who was associated with various organisations, was the former Treasurer of Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Golf Club (JWGC), Founder-Trustee of Mysore Association of Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Clinics and Diagnostic Centres (MAHAN), Founder-Secretary of Family Physicians Association, former President of Indian Medical Association (IMA), Mysore Chapter and former Vice-President, IMA, Karnataka Chapter, former President and Advisory Committee Member of Mysore Medical College Alumni Association (MAA) and Founder of Basava Mithra Koota.
