Dr. Napanda C. Sujatha, Assistant Professor and Chairperson, Department of Ancient History and Archaeology, Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), has been awarded ‘Dr. Radhakrishna Shikshana Ratna National Award’ for her distinguished contributions to the development of the Nation and achieving outstanding excellence in the field of Teaching, Research and Publications.
The Award was present by the International Institute for Social and Economic Reforms, Bengaluru, on Jan. 28.
Dr. Sujatha, completed her Master Degree in Ancient History and Archaeology in the year 1994 from the University of Mysore and received her Ph.D degree for her thesis on ‘The Portion of Women During Hoysala Period’ for which she received a Gold Medal in the year 2001.
Dr. Sujatha has presented 14 research papers in National and Intonation Seminars and has four research articles published in various reputed journals.
She has also authored two books titled ‘Coorg – Historical and Archaeological Perspective’ and ‘Glory that was Vijayanagar – Study of the Growth and Culture,’ which is yet to be published.
