Noted Ayurveda practitioner of the city Dr. Ramananda Rao passed away at his residence  here on Friday. He leaves behind his wife, a son, two daughters and a host of relatives and friends.

Dr. Rao, who was a native of Sringeri, practiced Ayurveda at his clinic in Gokulam. He was also a Yoga exponent and taught Yoga at Vontikoppal Andal Mandira for several years. Many organisations had feted him for his service to the society. His body was kept for public viewing this morning, following which the last rites were conducted at the crematorium in Vijayanagar 4th Stage.
