Dr. Shalini Urs to speak at Smart Cities Expo and Conference in New Delhi

Mysuru: Dr. Shalini Urs, Founder and Chairperson of the MYRA School of Business, Mysuru, and former Founder Executive Director of the International School of Information Management, University of Mysore, will be speaking at the 3rd Smart Cities Expo and Conference to be held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi from today.

She will be speaking on the topic of ‘E-Governance: Empowerment through engagement’, scheduled on May 11.

Speakers include Sunil Dubey, Sr. Adviser, Metropolis, Australia; Anand Madia, Secretary of State, e-Governance, Govt. of Sikkim, India, Jakub Polec, MEA – Digital Transformation Program Manager, Oracle, Mateja Geder, Managing Director, GraVita Media, Slovenia and Tanmoy Chakrabarty, Vice President & Head of Government Industry Solutions Unit (ISU), Tata Consultancy Services, India, among others.

Dr. Urs, in her address, will focus on how Internet technologies, particularly social networks, have connected people across borders, castes, creeds, races, ethnicities and have transformed the ways we evaluate our ideas, relationships and values.

Dr. Urs will provide an overview of many a technique that can be employed for harvesting actionable insights from the humongous data that the Govt. has access to.
