Dr. Shivaram Karanth Layout De-notification case: ACB withdraws notice issued to BSY

Bengaluru: In a temporary relief to former CM and State BJP President B.S. Yeddyurappa in the Dr. Shivaram Karanth Layout alleged de-notification case, the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has withdrawn the notice issued to him to appear before it on Aug. 24.

The High Court today, heard the petition filed by Yeddyurappa seeking quashing of FIR filed against him.  After the arguments and counter arguments, the ACB told the High Court that it was withdrawing the notice issued to BSY and also assured that there will be no further action by it until the next hearing. The Court thereafter adjourned the case to Aug. 28 and also instructed the ACB not to arrest the former CM.

Senior Advocate C.V. Nagesh appeared for B.S. Yeddyurappa while another senior Advocate Ravi Verma Kumar represented the ACB.
