Dr. Sujatha Akki Theatre Festival begins

Rangayaana Trust felicitates folk singer H. Nataraju

Folk singer H. Nataraju was felicitated during the inauguration of the three-day ‘Dr. Sujatha Akki Natakotsava’ (Theatre Festival), organised by Rangayaana Trust, Mysuru, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, New Delhi, at Mini Theatre in Kalamandira premises yesterday. He is seen with (standing from left) Rangayaana Trust Founder-President Vikas Chandra, Kannada & Culture Assistant Director Dr. M.D. Sudarshan, Joint Director V.N. Mallikarjunaswamy, MLA K. Harishgowda, Senior Writer Prof. Aravinda Malagatti, Writer Dr. Sujatha Akki, her husband senior theatre person N.S. Gopinath and B.M. Ramachandra of Sri Rajeshwari Vasthralankara.

Picture shows artistes of Rangayaana Trust staging the play ‘Chama Cheluve’ on the occasion. Earlier, team ‘Gahana’ presented folk songs. Today, Arunodaya (Mandya) and team will present Sugama Sangeetha at 5.45 pm and Rangayaana Trust will stage the play ‘Soligara Bale’ at 7.15 pm.
