Mysuru: Former MP Prathap Simha has advised Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah not to forget that he became a Minister through caste-based reservation within the Hindu social system.
“Yathindra speaks against India becoming a Hindu nation, but he should remember that his own Ministerial berth came through caste quota. No one is trying to turn India into a Hindu nation. It is naturally a Hindu nation,” Simha said.
He alleged that Yathindra and his father, Siddaramaiah, had been using such statements for political gains. Simha also took a dig at Ministers Vijayanand Kashappanavar and Santosh Lad over their proficiency in Kannada.
“First teach Kannada to IPL ticket aspirant Vijayanand Kashappanavar and to Santosh Lad, who lectures Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Adult education must be introduced to teach Kannada to such Ministers,” he said.
He added that people in Karnataka were angry over the behaviour of some Ministers, particularly their use of obscene language at public meetings.
