Dr. Yathindra launching development works is unconstitutional: G.T. Devegowda

February 11, 2018

Mysuru: “Maintaining protocol is vital during launch of any development work,” asserted MLA G.T. Devegowda (GTD).

Speaking at a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan here yesterday, Devegowda said that Chief Minister Siddharamaiah’s son Dr. Yathindra had performed Guddali Puja for several development works at Kalalavadi, Koppalur, Ramabainagar, Linagambudipalya, Gopalapura and other places, coming under Srirampura Gram Panchayat of Chamundeshwari Constituency on Feb.9 by flouting all norms and protocol.

He pointed out that as an MLA of the Constituency he was not invited for the function.

He alleged that Dr. Yathindra launching the works was unconstitutional and questioned whether the works were from Government or Congress money. He said that he would complain in that context with the DC and also move a breach of privilege motion in the Assembly.

Referring to forthcoming Assembly polls, GTD ridiculed Siddharamaiah on being too over confident of victory at Chamundeshwari Constituency and added that the voters would shatter the CM’s dream. He pointed out that Siddharamaiah was using rowdy-sheeters to lobby against him (GTD).

He said that PDOs and Police Personnel in rural areas were indiscriminately transferred at the behest of the CM.

GTD said that he was prepared for a ‘war’ against CM in Chamundeshwari Constituency Assembly polls.

ZP Members Dinesh, Madegowda, Mahadevaswamy, Srirampura GP President Choodamani and others were present during the press meet.
