Inclusion of new voter registration till Sept. 23 through Form 6
Mysuru: The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Karnataka, published the Draft Electoral Roll today following the first phase of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) held from June 30 to Aug. 17.
Citizens can verify their details in the draft electoral roll on the CEO Karnataka website https://www.ceo.karnataka.gov.in.
They can also file claims and objections from Aug. 24 to Sept. 23.
The disposal of claims and objections will be taken up from Aug. 24 to Oct. 22, following which the final electoral roll will be published on Oct. 27.
Meanwhile, Chief Electoral Officer, Karnataka, will serve notices to 43.80 lakh voters across the State who were unavailable during the verification process.
These voters will have time till Sept. 23 to get their names included & make corrections.
27.99 lakh enumeration forms in Mysuru
In Mysuru, a total of 27,99,693 enumeration forms were distributed, of which 22,42,452 have been digitised across 11 Assembly segments.
Of the 27,99,693 voters, 5,57,241 have been marked as ASDDO (Absent/ Shifted/ Dead/Duplicate and Other) electors, leaving 22,42,452 voters in the draft electoral roll.
During the first phase of the SIR process, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) distributed enumeration forms, collected the filled-in forms and completed the digitisation process.
DC holds meeting with political parties
Ahead of the publication of the Draft Electoral Roll, Mysuru Deputy Commissioner G. Lakshmikanth Reddy held a meeting with representatives of political parties at his office in Siddarthanagar this morning.
Speaking to Star of Mysore, City BJP Vice-President M.P. Rajesh, who is also the Booth Level Agent (BLA) for the Chamaraja Assembly Constituency, said the Deputy Commissioner had asked political parties to create awareness among the public about the publication of the draft electoral roll and provide details regarding the enumeration forms distributed and collected.
Rajesh said that the political parties were also asked to create awareness about accessing the draft electoral roll, filing claims and objections, and the forms to be submitted for various revisions.
Filing of claims and objections
Those who failed to submit their filled-in enumeration forms within the stipulated period can file Form 6 along with the prescribed Declaration Form for inclusion of their names during the claims and objections period.
Voters can submit any two indicative, though not exhaustive, documents, including a birth certificate issued by the competent authority, passport, SSLC or educational certificate issued by a recognised Board or University, Forest Rights Certificate, OBC/ SC/ ST or other caste certificate issued by the competent authority, and National Register of Citizens (wherever it exists), among others.
For Aadhaar, Election Commission’s directions issued vide Letter No. 23/2025-ERS/Vol.II dated Sept. 9, 2025, will apply.
Citizens can submit Form 6 for inclusion of a new voter, Form 6A for inclusion of an overseas voter, Form 7 for deletion of a name, and Form 8 for shifting of residence, correction of entries, replacement of EPIC and marking of Person with Disability (PwD).

Provision for appeal
Citizens have also been provided with an appeal mechanism. If a voter included in the draft roll is excluded after a hearing by the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), the first appeal can be filed before the Deputy Commissioner within 15 days of the ERO’s order.
The second appeal can be filed before the Chief Electoral Officer within 30 days from the date of the first appeal order.
