Ballari-based theatre group Rangathorana will be conducting its 12th State-level Theatre competition for students from Mar. 3 to Mar. 5 at Dr. Joladarashi Doddanagowda Rangamandira in Ballari.
Students from all colleges and Universities can take part. Each team must have a maximum of 20 artistes (17 actors and 3 helpers). The duration of the play must be a minimum of 60 minutes and maximum of 70 minutes. The organisers will provide boarding and lodging facilities for the teams.
Entry fee for the competition is Rs. 1,000 per college. The DD must be addressed to ‘Rangathorana, Ballari’ and the last date for registration is Feb. 22.
The winners of the competition will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 20,000 followed by Rs. 15,000 and Rs.10,000 for first and second runner-up teams. This apart, the organisers have also announced awards for Best Actor, Best Director, Best Music, Best Sound and Light, Best Supporting Actor, Best Stage Design, Best Make-up and Best Costume.
