Gonikoppal: The driver of a car was killed when the vehicle allegedly hit a parked earth mover at Ponnampet yesterday.
The deceased is identified as N. Kaverappa (27), a resident of Kirugur and son of Subramani, employed in Bengaluru.
After attending a marriage at Balele in Kodagu, Kaverappa was said to be returning to Bengaluru after dropping the guests. While moving on Ponnampet-Kirugur Road, at about 3.30 am, the car hit the parked earth mover instantly killing Kaverappa. Ponnampet Police have registered a case.
