Mysuru: The driver of a towing vehicle was killed on the spot when a car rammed into the vehicle on Jodi Tenginamara Road in Bannimantap in the wee hours of yesterday.
The deceased has been identified as Abdul Jaleel (37), a resident of Rajendranagar.
Yesterday, at about 3 am, Abdul had towed an under-repair vehicle to Jodi Tenginamara Road and was untying the rope when a speeding car rammed into him, killing him on the spot. The car driver fled, leaving the vehicle behind.
Narasimharaja (NR) Traffic Police, who have registered a case, have launched a hunt to trace the car driver.
