Seeking fulfilment of their various demands, over 100 members of Karnataka Dalitha Sangharsha Samithi (DSS) staged a demonstration in front of the DC’s office here yesterday.

The demands included distribution of 10 kgs rice and two pairs of clothes per year for each family member of BPL card holders, a hike in pension granted under various social security schemes, lending of interest-free farm loans and appropriate rehabilitation of bonded labour victims, among others.

Dalitha Sangharsha Samithi office-berares Ningaraj Malladi, H.B. Diwakar, Puttalakshmamma, Basavanna and others led the protest.
