Dy.SP M.K. Ganapathy suicide case: JD(S) stages day-night protest, seeks Minister George’s resignation

Virajpet: Seeking resignation of Bengaluru Development Minister K.J. George (former Home Minister) over the CBI registering a case against him and two IPS officers in connection with the suicide of Dy.SP M.K. Ganapathy, the JD(S) staged a day-night stir in the town yesterday.

Addressing the protesters, JD(S) Kodagu District President M. Sanketh Poovaiah said that the State Government’s cover-up of the suicide of Dy.SP Ganapathy has been exposed.

The Supreme Court has ordered CBI probe after the CID gave a clean chit to George and two senior IPS officers blamed by the late Dy.SP.

The CBI which has begin the probe, has named Minister George as the first accused in the case. But despite the FIR against him, George has failed to quit, he said and demanded immediate resignation.

He further said that the JD(S) will take M.K. Ganapathy suicide case to its logical end.

Virajpet constituency JD(S) President S.M. Mateen, leaders Mansoor Ali, P.A. Manjunath, Ammanda Vivek, Mathanda Chengappa, Balekuttira Bopaiah and others were present.
