E.C. Jeevan (62), former Virajpet Town Panchayat President and presently serving as a Member, passed away yesterday evening at the Government Hospital in the town.

He had also served as the President of Malayali Samaja and Sri Muthappa Temple at Meenupete.

He leaves behind his wife, one son, one daughter and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were performed at the Hindu Burial Grounds on Malabar Road this afternoon, according to family sources.
