e-Swathu glitches extend data migration till Dec. 29

December 24, 2025

A-Khata, B-Khata property services paralysed further

Mysore/Mysuru: Following severe technical glitches and repeated server failures in the revamped e-Swathu 2.0 digital platform, which have stalled the issuance of e-Khata documents — A-Khata and B-Khata — the data migration process has once again been extended, this time till Dec. 29.

As a result, there will be no updates or issuance of A-Khata and B-Khata documents across Karnataka during this period.

In a communication issued to all Municipal Corporations and Local Self-Governing Bodies, Karnataka Municipal Data Society (KMDS) stated that e-Aasthi server will remain shut from Dec. 22 to Dec. 29, and no documents under the e-Swathu platform will be processed or issued.

The communication further directed that since data migration and testing activities are underway, e-Swathu approvals must not be granted under any circumstances and all related activities must be completely halted during the period.

The e-Swathu 2.0 platform, a centralised online system designed to manage urban and rural property records and enable citizens to access digital e-Khata documents — Forms 11A and 11B — along with other property records, has remained largely non-functional since its launch on Dec. 1.

With the migration deadline now extended to Dec. 29, the e-Swathu 2.0 portal has effectively been out of service for nearly a month, causing inconvenience to property owners and local bodies alike.
