Eagle hits Siddharamaiah’s chopper on his way to Shravanabelagola

Bengaluru: Tense moments prevailed for some time as an eagle hit Chief Minister Siddharamaiah’s chopper this morning while he was on his way to inaugurate a series of development programmes for the Mahamastakabhisheka of Lord Bahubali in Shravanabelagola. Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara was accompanying the CM.

Reports said that soon after the helicopter took off from the HAL Airport in Bengaluru, the eagle hit the chopper, forcing the pilot to return to the Airport for technical examination.

The chopper was examined by technical experts and certified that it was safe to fly. The CM then proceeded to Shravanabelagola.

It may be mentioned here that in June 2016, a crow had perched on Siddharamaiah’s car bonnet in Bengaluru and refused to budge despite being shooed away   several times.

Also, in January 2017, a crow’s droppings fell on his sparkling white dhoti an event in Manjeshwaram in Kerala where he was with Kerala CM.
