‘Economic crisis will trigger a Quit NDA Movement’

Mysuru: “With economy of the country reaching a deplorable state, people should launch a Quit NDA Movement,” suggested retired University of Mysore Professor Mahesh Chandra Guru.

He was speaking after inaugurating a Seminar on ‘Economic State of the Country’ organised by Zilla Kayaka Samajagala Okkuta at Jaladarshini Guest House here yesterday.

Coming down heavily on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mahesh Chandra Guru pooh-poohed the pseudo patriotism of Modi who has shown inclination to present ‘Bharat Ratna’ posthumously to Savarkar.

He alleged that the Modi-led NDA Government has totally sidelined youth and women empowerment and just hyping on pseudo achievements.

He hence said that people fed up with false assurances would launch a Movement to throw away the NDA regime  any moment.

Going further, Guru contended that the Reserve Bank of India has totally gone weak and pointed out that Enforcement Directorate and Income Tax Department had become pro-Government bodies targeting Opposition leaders.

He observed that Jammu and Kashmir has been cut off from communication and added that media is literally gagged.

Former MLC and Okkuta President K.C. Puttasidda Shetty, leaders Dr. Vijayakumar, Kumar Shetty, social activist Shabbir Mustafa, Historian P.V. Nanjaraje Urs and others were present.
