Mysuru: Opposing ‘anti-people’ policies of BJP and blaming Central Government’s policies for economic slowdown, Congress workers lead by City Congress President R. Murthy and District Congress President B.J. Vijaykumar staged demonstration this morning at Gandhi Square in city.
More than 150 activists of Congress participated in the protest. They raised slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa and demanded their resignations. “Current economic slowdown is due to Government’s policy mismanagement,” they alleged.
Former Mayors Modamani, T.B. Chikkanna, Pushpalatha Chikkanna, B.K. Prakash, ex-MLA Vasu, leaders Bhaskar L. Gowda, Eshwar Chakkadi, Shivamallu and others were present.
