ED sleuths raid Corporator’s house in Bannimantap

Mysore/Mysuru: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided the house of Ward 17 JD(S) Corporator Reshma Banu’s house in Bannimantap this morning as part of the raids on Yusuf Sharif alias ‘KGF Babu’ alias ‘Scrap Babu’ in Bengaluru.

The Corporator and her husband Rehman Khan are the relatives of KGF Babu and the ED sleuths landed at their house in Bannimantap at 6 am. The team came in a couple of cars, entered the house and seized the mobile phones of the residents so that they could not communicate with anyone.

This raid is linked to unearthing the assets of KGF Babu and raids are being conducted on all the houses of his close relatives. Further details are awaited.

This morning, the ED sleuths raided KGF Babu’s residence in Vasanthnagar, Bengaluru. Sharif was a Congress MLC candidate for Legislative Council from Bangalore Urban who lost the polls. He had declared Rs. 1,743 crore assets to Election Commission, becoming the richest politician of Karnataka when he filed nomination. Claiming that all his businesses were legal, he said that he purchased and sold every asset legally.
