Mysore/Mysuru: The Karnataka State Education Department Vokkaliga Employees Welfare Association has come into existence with MLC K.T. Srikantegowda launching the Association at a programme organised at Vivekananda Hall in Mahajana PU College premises in Jayalakshmipuram here on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Srikantegowda, who is also the Honorary President of the Association, said that the Association must work towards addressing issues concerning the Education Department employees.

Stressing on the need for amicable solutions to problems, he said that the Association must co-ordinate with other Associations and share information. 

He also called upon the Association Members to popularise Poet Laureate Kuvempu’s concept of simple marriage, organise mass marriages and engage in such other social activities.

 Association President H.B. Basavaraj, Vice-President Krishnappa, office-bearers Arun Kumar, N. Revanna and D. Mahadev, Mysuru Taluk Vokkaligara Sangha President and former Zilla Panchayat (ZP) President Koorgalli Mahadev and others were present.
