The optimistic and sincere effort put forth by Star of Mysore in organising the Education Fair has received a never-before-seen response in the city of Mysuru. Needless to say an Education Fair like this was very necessary. Parents and children were found eagerly collecting crucial information from the stalls.
As I was going around the stalls watching the anxious but yet curious faces of people, they all seemed like pilgrims visiting holy shrines, hoping to be blessed by Saraswathi, the Goddess of learning. The entire air-conditioned structure with meticulously planned cubicles with route map was of international standards. Special care taken to provide facilities to stall owners must be appreciated.
Cultural activities, academic and career guidance lectures at the specially erected stage attracted large number of people. Many people with whom I interacted opined that such a Fair should be held every year.
