Education officials briefed on scholarship portals

Mysuru:  Minorities Welfare Department had organised a workshop on National Scholarship Portal (NSP) and State Scholarship Portal (SSP) at Kalamandira here this morning.

About 100 officials of Education Department and heads of institutions in Mysuru Division attended the workshop.

Inaugurating the programme, Minorities Welfare Department Assistant Director Ayesha Firdose said that students of minority class should apply for scholarship, both pre and post-matric, at both NSP and SSP. She pointed out that NSP caters only to about 40% of the students and the remaining would be considered through SSP. She instructed the institution heads and officials of the Education Department to advise students accordingly. She later briefed on the salient features of the two portals to clarify any ambiguity.

District Minorities Welfare Officer Muqtar Pasha, DDPUE Nagarathna, DDPI Dr. Panduranga, Mysuru North BEO Udaykumar and others were present.
