Mysuru: The office-bearers of Mysore City Central Meelad Committee, Meelad Park on Ashoka Road in Lashkar Mohalla, will be celebrating Jashne Eid Meelad-un-Nabi, the Birthday of Prophet Muhammad on Sept. 16 from 5.30 pm to 9.45 pm at Meelad Park.

On the occasion, Committee Secretary Mohammed Afroz Pasha will honour Sir Khazi of Mysuru Hazarath Mohammed Usman Shariff for his yeomen imamath service at Masjid Omer Khan Durani in Mandi Mohalla from past 55 years and as Sir Khazi since 23 years, Tanveer Sait, MLA & President of the Committee, S. Moinuddin Pasha, Hon. Secretary and Mohammed Khaleel-ur-Rehaman Ashrafi, social worker & in-charge of Meelad Park Development.

Also, 40 Arabic students of Muslim Boys Orphanage (Apna Ghar), Jamiyath-ul-Huda in Udayagiri, Masjid Khakhi-Sha Arabic Madries and other institutions will be honoured.
