As part of Celebration Run Series, Life is Calling, a Sports Management Company has organised the 8th edition of Celebration Mysore 1/2 Marathon and 10K event on Sunday (Sept. 9).
The marathon will be flagged off from the Balarama Gate of the Mysore Palace.
The Marathon event is being organised under the auspices of Karnataka Athletics Association (KAA) and is supported by Mysore City Police with Young Indians (YI), Mysore Chapter being the Cause Partner.
A function was organised at a private hotel here yesterday to release the posters and T-shirts of the event.
The events to be flagged off at 5.45 am, will have 30K, Half Marathon, 10 Kms Run for participants who are 16 years and above and Kotak Mahindra Bank 6 Kms Run / Walk for participants in the age 10 years and above.
The 30K, Half Marathon and 10 Kms Run are competitive categories while The Kotak Mahindra Bank 6 Kms Celebration Run / Walk is a non-competitive category to encourage large number of participants.
Participants will be given T-Shirts, Finisher Medals and Breakfast. The participants of Kotak 6K Run / Walk will receive Participation Certificates. The top 3 winners in 30K (Open Category), Half Marathon and 10 Kms Run (Open /Senior /Veteran) categories will be given trophies for both Men and Women.
