Elder Citizens Council fetes senior citizens

Mysuru: Elder Citizens Council and Elder Citizens Trust, as part of Senior Citizens’ Day, felicitated senior citizens at an event held in city recently.  

Those feted were District Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Maddikere Gopal and Founder of Chiguru Ashram for the Mentally Challenged Sushma Ravikumar.

The programme was inaugurated by Mysuru-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar by lighting the lamp along with other guests.

S. Ramaprasad, Retired Science Editor and Kannada Encyclopaedia, University of Mysore, was the chief guest.  Council President Dr. H.M. Nagaraju presided. Trust Chairman Gowdappa, members Dr. Ramachandre Gowda, K.V. Ramanath, K.S. Krishna, Javaregowda, S.V. Venkateshaiah, Sridhara, V.N. Achar, Latha, K.V.K. Naidu, H.R. Sundareshan, P.B. Ramanna, Manorama, Suseela Marigowda and others were present on the occasion.
