Mandya: An elderly man was killed when a wall of his house colla psed due to heavy rains at Sadolalu village in Maddur taluk last night.

The deceased has been identified as Ayyappa (68). Ayyappa was fast asleep in his house, when the wall collapsed on him due to heavy rains that lashed the village last night.

A seriously injured Ayyappa died enroute while being taken to the taluk hospital, it is learnt.

Maddur Police and Revenue Officials visited the spot.
