Elderly woman’s house burgled at Vijayanagar

Mysore/Mysuru: Miscreants, who broke into the house of an elderly woman, have decamped with gold, silver and cash from the house.

The burglary took place at the house of an elderly lonely woman in Vijayanagar 1st Stage between May 27 and 29.

On May 27, the woman left for Bengaluru after locking the house and returned on May 29 morning only to see the front door of the house forcibly opened.

On inspecting the house, the elderly woman found five-gram gold finger ring, silver lamps weighing 80 grams and Rs. 30,000 cash kept in the house stolen. The woman later lodged a complaint at Vijayanagar Police Station. The Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
