Mysuru: City-based Scientist Dr. Sudisha Jogaiah has been elected as Fellow of The National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI).
He completed his M.Phil. degree under the guidance of Prof. S.R. Niranjana, Vice-Chairman of Karnataka State Higher Education Council and obtained Ph.D. in Biotechnology from University of Mysore, under the supervision of Prof. H. Shekar Shetty. Currently he is working as Associate Professor and Head at the Department of Environmental Science, Central University of Kerala.
Dr. Sudisha Jogaiah received this recognition of Fellow from the President of NASI Prof. Balram Bhargava, former Director General of the Indian Council of Medical Research, Government of India, at the 94th annual meeting held at IISER, Bhopal earlier this month for his outstanding research contribution in the field of molecular and ecological aspects of the plant innate immune system and how beneficial micro-organisms affect host immunity to achieve higher crop yield with a minimum impact on the environment.
A recipient of several International and National awards, Dr. Sudisha is the son of Jogaiah and Jayamma, residents of Kuvempunagar.
