Elected as Member of Tribal Studies Core Committee

Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. D.C. Nanjunda, Associate Professor, Centre for Social Exclusion and Inclusion Study, University of Mysore, has been elected as one of the members of the Core Evaluation Committee of the National Tribal Mentor Pool, constituted by the National Institute for Tribal Studies (Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India). 

The National Core Evaluation Committee is constituted to enhance the capabilities of tribal research students by advising them to produce quality Ph.D thesis, publishing qualitative journals and to evaluate the results of research and pass it on to the policy-makers for the required social action. 

It may be recalled that the Centre for Social Exclusion Study at University of Mysore has already been designated by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs as the Centre for Excellence in Tribal Studies in January 2020.
