L.S. Mahadevaswamy of Lalithadripura (Sakkalli) in Varuna hobli of the taluk was elected unopposed as the President of the Federation of Basava Balagas for the year 2020 at the General Body Meeting of the Federation held in Suttur Mutt premises on Sunday. The meeting was attended by Co-ordination Committee Members of the Federation, Veerashaiva-Lingayat Mahasabha office-bearers, members of various Basava Balagas and a number of community seers.
