Mysuru: An electrician allegedly committed suicide by hanging self at his house yesterday midnight.

The deceased has been identified as Irfan Khan (25), a resident of Sawday Road in Mandi Mohalla here.

The incident came to light this morning, when the family members went to his room to wake him up and immediately informed  the Mandi Police.

Mandi Inspector Lakshmikanth Talwar and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar and shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary for post-mortem. The reason for his death is yet to be ascertained. The body was handed over to the family members after the conduct of post-mortem.

Mandi Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
