Elephant charges at car in Bandipur

Gundlupet:   While a wild tusker entered human habitation and attacked a car at Kutta, in Bandipur, another tusker attacked a car inside the forest area. Here too, the occupants of the car had a providential escape.

This incident occurred last evening when Vinod, a resident of Bengaluru was proceeding towards Ooty along with two of his friends.

The car was moving along the Mudumalai Road. A herd of elephants was by the side of the road that cuts through Bandipur Tiger Reserve.

Seeing some vehicles moving on the road, one of the tuskers suddenly entered the road and charged at the car. Seeing the approaching elephant, Vinod reversed his car and escaped. The elephant too returned to forest.
