Empty Stalls greet CM at Dasara Expo

Mysuru:  Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy inaugurated the 90-day Dasara Exhibition organised as part of Dasara celebrations at the Exhibition Grounds, here yesterday.

He was accorded a grand welcome by the traditional folk artistes like Beesu Kamsale and Nandi Dwaja troupes.

However, like every year, it was a sorry spectacle, as most of the stalls were empty during the inauguration. In the 132 private stalls, only  80 stalls were ready, out of the 95 food stalls, 50 stalls and of the 45 government stalls, only 32 were ready.

Mysuru District in-charge Minister G.T. Devegowda, Ministers S.R. Mahesh, N. Mahesh, Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G. Sankar, Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Jyothi, Karnataka Exhibition Authority CEO Shashikumar and others were present.
