Mysuru: In a tragic incident, a 53-year old Engineer died after being hit by a tipper at the site where he was working.
Kari Venkateshwara Rao (53), a Bridge engineer and a native of Andhra Pradesh, is the deceased.
Venkateshwara Rao was supervising Mysuru-Benglauru Highway expansion works at Tubinakere near Mandya on Friday afternoon, when he was accidentally knocked down by a tipper said to be belonging to the road construction company which he worked for. Rao, who sustained serious head and body injuries, was rushed to Colombia Asia Hospital in city, where he succumbed later in the evening.
Mandya Rural Police have registered a case in this regard.
