The art connoisseurs of Mysuru were treated with a musical extravaganza last evening at Vijaya Vittala School Grounds in Saraswathipuram.
The World Music Concert, organised by Sree Mookambika Creations featuring different genres of music — Indian, Jazz and European Classical — was presented by world renowned instrumentalists led by city’s violinist Dr. Mysore Manjunath. The musical ensemble comprised Ned McGowan, a Dutch composer, teacher, flutist, improviser, curator and researcher; Alice Barron, violinist from UK with a western classical music background; Giuliano Modarelli, guitarist, composer and producer from Italy; Pramath Kiran, percussionist from South India; Will Roberts, a multi-talented instrumentalist and special percussionist from Cuba; Rajendra Nakod, tabla artiste from a family of distinguished classical musicians.
