Entrepreneurship Fest at Kautilya

Mysuru:  Young entrepreneurs from grades 7 to 10 put on their best efforts to woo customers in the annual entrepreneurship fest ‘Vanijya Vihar’ organised by Kautilya Vidyalaya, as a tribute to the development of human capital on the occasion of Kannada Rajyotsava, on Nov.1.

The State Flag was unfurled by chief guest Y.G. Chinnaswamy, President of CREDAI, Mysuru and Vasavi Vrunda. Students of grade 10 welcomed the gathering and elaborated the significance of the day.

In his address, Chinnaswamy exhorted the students to nurture mother tongue, self-dependence and develop life skills as their duty towards the motherland.

In his presidential address, Chairman R. Raghu spoke about realising the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also expressed his desire in witnessing greater industrial development in the State in order to bring it at par with developed nations.

S.V. Venkatesh, MD and CEO of RiiiT and Dr. M.P. Varsha, Managing Trustee and CEO of Centre for Rural Education Development and Innovative Technologies of India, judged the stalls representing Indian States and Union Territories.

The young entrepreneurs were at their best peddling delicacies, handicrafts and games, ably aided by their mentors and real-life entrepreneurs from all walks of society. Members of public shopped, feasted and played with great enthusiasm.

Patrons contributed generously to the Annapurna food stall, in benefit of the poor, while students have pledged to donate 50 percent of the proceeds to the National Defence Fund, instituted by Prime Minister Modi.

Senior Principal Dr. L. Savitha, Vice-Principal B.B. Radhika and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
