Mysuru: The Women and Child Welfare Department has invited entries from children with exemplary innovative and scholastic talent for awarding Hoysala and Keladi Chennamma awards.

Children aged between 5 and 18 years only can apply.

The awards carry a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 each and a citation. The children must have exemplary innovative and scholastic talent in fields such as arts, sports, culture, social service, music, etc.

The entries must be supported by documentary proof.

Those children who had sent their entries last year, which were taken into consideration, need not apply again.

The prescribed application form (in Kannada) can be collected from the Department office. Last date for applying is Oct.21.
